“You keep thinking that. I’ve got a better idea how these things work and I’ve seen countless artists fall from their spots ‘cos of bad work ethics, among other things. I haven’t seen or heard you practice once since we got here. Ought’a spend less time chasing skirts and more time on what you’re actually doing here,” he remarked, keeping his expression calmly blank, sans a small crease of irritation in his brow. “Are you kidding? Maybe later when I’m not so busy. Aren’t you supposed to be the one proving to me, instead of the other way about?”

“Just because you have a ‘better idea’ of how things work, doesn’t mean a thing. If I didn’t do well in this industry, I wouldn’t even be here where I am now. You didn’t get me here, I got me here all on my own, and I will make it. You haven’t heard me practice once because you’re too busy parading around like you own the damn place. Master of this room. Please, Kurosaki-senpai. You aren’t the only one who lives here. Who gave you the right to just toss peoples things, and run around like you’re the boss?” he retorted. “And as a matter of fact, in case you didn’t catch my sarcasm, yes, I was kidding. I don’t have to prove myself to you, but I will, just to show you skirt-chasing and procrastination aren’t an issue for me.”
You’re so cute, I’m just saying hello.
“It’s exactly that sort of ‘I can’t be bothered right now’ attitude that’s going to stop you going anywhere in this industry, Jinguji. Tch, a pretty face won’t keep you at the top forever.” He laughs sardonically at the younger male’s jab, arching a thin eyebrow at him. “No, but I could probably find a stick to crack you over the head with.”

Eyebrows furrowed, he let out a soft sigh and closed his eyes for a brief moment. “To you, perhaps, I may look like I wont be going anywhere, but I’ll have you know now, senpai, that I will make it to the top, with or without your help.” he said crossing his arms and leaning back, “I’d like to see said stick. Please, by all means.”
“Did I say I thought you were deaf, Ran-chan?” Oops. Perhaps now he should run?
“—rhetorical question, smart ass. Don’t you have anything productive to do?”

“It’s possible I have a few things that need to be done, yes, but I’m not feeling particularly productive at the moment, thank you. Don’t you have a stick to pull out of your ass?”
— chuckle
“Heard Ran-chan was back…”
Now…where to hide?
Ah, delightful. “Do you think I’m deaf or something? It’s Kurosaki-senpai.”
